Yerba Buena Island Residences Parcel 4Y

Plant Construction has been awarded the contract for 4Y at Yerba Buena Island, a new residential condominium development, and Plant is seeking uniquely qualified firms interested in submitting a bid related to their specific trade.
 
4Y is a new residential condominium development of aproximately 146,267 square feet, consisting of 53 unit, eight 4-story Type III wood frame structure over slab on grade. Two 4-story Type III wood frame structures over a Type 1 podium, partially subterranean basement parking garage.  Currently plans show building 27A&B as a light gauge metal building. This will be changing to a wood frame structure over concrete podium shortly after the bidding periods ends. Please adjust proposal to take into account this future change.  Client (Wilson Meany) recently submitted permit plans to the city anticipating a construction start date of Q2/2020.  This is an all union project.  This is going out to bid for a GMP contract.

Division 6 – Wood, Plastics and Composites, Division 7 – Thermal and Moisture Protection,

Division 12 – Furnishings, Division 14 – Conveying Equipment, Division 21 – Fire Suppression Systems,
Division 22 – Plumbing, Division 23 – HVAC, Division 26 – Electrical,
Division 27 – Communications and Data, Division 28 - Electronic Safety and Security,
Division 31 – Earthwork, Division 32 – Exterior Improvements, Division 33 – Utilities.

TICD Contracting Opportunities Background:

Contracts for physical construction and improvements (including: abatement, demolition, construction, street installation and utility system installations) are managed and issued by Treasure Island Community Development (TICD).  These contracts are private contracts, and TICD's solicitation and contracting obligations are defined by the Project's Small Business Enterprise Procedures - Treasure Island/Yerba Buena Island (the "SBE Procedures"). As an objective of  the development of Treasure Island is to create contracting opportunities for small business professional service firms and construction contractors, a Jobs and Equal Opportunity Program (the “Jobs EOP”) was attached to and made a part of the June 28, 2011 Disposition and Development Agreement between TIDA and TICD.

The Jobs EOP includes a number of employment, contracting and economic development provisions,and Section 3-Participation Goals for Small Business Enterprises of the Jobs EOP establishes small business policies and participation goals for Covered Work.

The SBE Procedures implement the Small Business Enterprise participation goals set forth in the Jobs EOP and in accordance therewith require good faith efforts designed to ensure that monies are spent in a manner that provides SBEs with an opportunity to compete for and participate in the Covered Work and to ensure broad contracting opportunities for all categories of SBEs.
