Treasure Island Business Spotlight

Treasure Island Wines

The first Island Business Spotlight features Treasure Island Wines.  Founded in 2007 by winemaker James Mirowski and located in Building 201, the former Navy Base Exchange, Treasure Island Wines (TIW) was the first operational urban winery and tasting room on Treasure Island.

TIW's unique and convenient facility is centrally located between the Sonoma, Napa, Central Valley and Santa Cruz grape growing regions, offering an ideal geographic location for wine production, storage and pre-destination staging. In addition, TIW's year-round naturally cool location provides an ideal low carbon impact environment.  The aim of TIW is "to provide a place where skilled winemakers craft small batch artisan wines", and TIW’s bonded wine production and storage facility offers a full and flexible range of services to accommodate the needs of serious, dedicated winemakers including:

  • Custom Crush
  • Fermentation
  • Barrel Fermentation
  • Juicing
  • Whole Cluster Pressing
  • Barrel Storage
  • Temperature Controlled Barrel Aging
  • A Tasting and Sales Room
  • A Special Event Area

Treasure Island Wines welcomes the public during Tasting Room hours (Tasting Room open most Saturdays), TIW Special Events and by appointment.  Come out to Treasure Island Wines and meet the winemakers who are eager to share their wines and knowledge with you!
