Treasure Island Design for Development wins 2012 Award

The Treasure Island Design for Development (D4D) has been selected as the winner of APA Northern California Chapter’s 2012 Innovation in Green Community Planning Award. The D4D document serves today as an excellent model of bold thinking in sustainable community development and urban design. Incorporating more than a decade of design and planning, the D4D document memorializes the evolution of development ideas and provides detailed design standards and guidelines that will govern the build-out of the project over the next two decades. The result is an extraordinary San Francisco neighborhood, an aspirational system of integrated strategies for living responsibly on the land, and a place of beauty, health and community.
