On-Island SFFD SF NERT Training Starts November 12
The San Francisco Fire Department SF NERT (Neighborhood Emergency Response Team) will be holding an on-Island NERT training class beginning Wednesday November 12. The goal of this program is to help the citizens of San Francisco to be self sufficient in a major disaster situation by developing multi-functional teams, cross trained in basic emergency skills. Through this program, individuals will learn hands-on disaster skills that will help them as members of an emergency response team, preparing them to respond to a personal emergency or as an adjunct to the SFFD response. The 20 hour training consists of six class sessions that are approximately 3 hours each. The NERT Training is free to the public. The on-Island class schedule is below.
11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10 SF GG Rugby Clubhouse, 725 California Ave at Avenue M (Bldg. 34)
12/13: Ship Shape Community Center, 850 Avenue I
Wednesday evenings November 12, 19, December 3, 10, AND Saturday December 13, 2014*
*You must attend all sessions to gain the full benefit of the training. New students may not join after class session 2. A Certificate may be issued. Make ups may be approved.
