Treasure Island Arts Master Plan
Treasure Island Arts Master Plan Background:
The Treasure Island Arts Master Plan will be funded by 1% of the construction costs of the island’s redevelopment and will be used exclusively to enhance and activate the public realm with artworks and art programming on both Treasure and Yerba Buena Islands. This public art programming, which will be guided by an Arts Master Plan document, is anticipated to be initiated in phases starting in fall 2018 and will continue over the 15 to 20-year span of the funding and construction cycle of the redevelopment project. The San Francisco Arts Commission is the lead agency charged with developing the Public Art Program and the Arts Master Plan.
