Treasure and Yerba Buena Islands offer a variety of location opportunities for film, video and still photography production, commercial shoots, student projects and more. TIDA also offers short-term sublease opportunities for additional production needs such as office space, equipment storage, equipment staging and vehicle parking. All film, photo and video production activities on Treasure and Yerba Buena Islands, (excluding individual hobbyists,), require application, approval and issuance of a TIDA Film or Photo Permit prior to commencement of production activities. TIDA encourages all on-Island productions to minimize their environmental impact through use of "green" production techniques and alternate modes of transportation whenever possible.
Permit fee waivers for student projects are available, however formal application and approval of student projects by TIDA is still required prior to commencement of production activities.
